My famous cottage cheese breakfast recipe


Doing my best to be carb-conscious for breakfast (and knowing we should start our day off with protein to keep us full all morning) I decided to experiment with cottage cheese. Thankfully I managed to mix the right ingredients and came up with this delicious and thick morning meal. The consistency reminds me of oatmeal, except it’s cold instead of hot. This has been on my page several times lately, so why don’t you give it a try!


1/2 cup of 1% or 2% cottage cheese

1/3 banana (or as much as you want)

1/2 cup (more or less) of frozen blueberries

Cinnamon (more or less, depending on how much you love it!)

1/4 cup of almond milk (or any milk of your choice)

I tossed the cottage cheese in a bowl along with the banana and cinnamon and mixed it thoroughly. I added my milk and tossed in the frozen blueberries. Once the blueberries hit the milk and cottage cheese mixture it started to thicken. I tossed it in the freezer for about three minutes or however long it took me to wash and cut up my peach. Stir it up a you’ve got yourself at least 15 grams of protein right there.


You can change up the amount of fruit/milk you want, depending on the desired consistency. Also, feel free to change up the fruits you add to it. I’ve tried peaches and plums and strawberries and they are all fairly good. The frozen blueberries helps freeze the milk and more it thicker in my opinion.
