My mom sent me some of the cutest messages on facebook today, asking what she needed to buy me food-wise when I come home this weekend since she knew I’ve been eating well and have become more involved with nutrirtion and my major. Having her bring up food for when I’m home reminds me of how I won’t have a dining hall anymore here to prepare me meals whenever I want one. Next year with a smaller meal plan (75 meals a semester versus 14 meals a week), I’ll be doing more of my own cooking, which is a bit bitter sweet. I feel like I’m always at a loss of time in the morning for breakfast, especially with 8am classes or 9 am classes (who wants to wake up an hour early just to have breakfast? not me!) I stumbled across the Women’s Health Magazine article on unbeatable breakfast recipes that are quick and no brainer, even my sister who isn’t the brightest bulb in the box could do! I was never really a breakfast person, but this past month I learned how eating breakfast has really curbed my cravings throughout the rest of the day, so give it a shot!
I’d just love to inform the world that I managed to pass chemistry with an 82! Thank god it’s not a C, and thank god my professor decided to email us two days before the final exam letting us know if we are exempt or not… (i know who i will not be taking a chemistry course from anymore, sorry jana!)
I went to the gym after studying for tomorrow’s econ exam and grabbed some strawberries and carrots just incase I got hungry later. Although I’ve used 2 meals every day this week (6 meals total) I still manage to have 12 of the 14 meals allowed a week….unbelievable? yes. am i complaining? with the amount of money my parents put into college,no…no i am not. I will gladly take free meals, thank you very much. I am now snacking on a few chocolate covered almonds before I head into the shower and rewind. For some reason, unlike the rest of the week, I just couldn’t seem to eat too much today. I guess whatever calorie deficient today can go towards the ice cream Bryan and I have planned to consume tomorrow in celebration of the end of the semester 🙂
Guess who got voted as secretary for Phi Eta Sigma!? this girl! so happy to have more things to write on my college resume now. I wasn’t planning on running but the girl next to me kind do sparked the interest. I got to enjoy some chocolate ice cream with bananas and chocolate chips, yum! I also found that on Saturday the yoga place uptown is doing meditation and yoga for free. I’ve been so upset and really stressed lately so hopefully I’ll have time to swing by and check it out.
